Fresh from winning the Driftwood 7s, Mwamba are top seeds for the fourth round of the National Sevens Circuit, the Dala 7s set for 2nd and 3rd July at Kisumu’s Mamboleo Showground.

Mwamba, who defeated Menengai Oilers 19-7 to win the third round last weekend in Mombasa, have been pooled with Nondescripts, Nakuru and hosts Kisumu in Pool A.

The Oilers find themselves in Pool B alongside Kabras Sugar, Daystar Falcons and Masinde Muliro while reigning champions KCB, who are also the National Sevens Circuit defending champions and current circuit leaders headline Pool C where they face Strathmore Leos, Impala and Blak Blad as Homeboyz, Kenya Harlequin, Zetech Oaks and Catholic Monks round off Pool D.

The National Sevens Circuit is the Kenyan club sevens championship whose winner is crowned by accumulating the most points across the six rounds.

This year’s circuit has thus far seen three different winners and four finalists after three rounds of action.

KCB won the season opening Kabeberi 7s with a 14-12 win over the Strathmore Leos.  The Leos would then turn the tables on the bankers, winning the Christie 7s 14-7 before Mwamba defeated Menengai Oilers 19-7 in the Driftwood 7s cup final.

From Kisumu, the circuit will visit Nakuru on 9/10 July before winding up in Kakamega on 16/17 July.
