Kenya to host All Africa Games Volleyball qualifiers

Kenya Volleyball Federation President Waithaka Kioni has announced that Kenya will host the men's edition of the Zone 5 All Africa Games qualifiers

Kenya Volleyball Federation president Waithaka Kioni has revealed that Kenya will stage The Confederation of African Volleyball Men’s Zone 5 All Africa Games qualifiers from June 5 to 10 in Nairobi.

CAVB conferred upon KVF the honors of hosting men’s qualification tournament a week ago.

Uganda have the rights to host the women’s qualifiers to the 12th edition of the AAG at a yet to be announced dates. As time goes by, the Ugandan federation must ensure the showpiece is held between May 10 and June 15.

The teams which will fly the Kenyan flag will be announced next week after the second leg of the national league and open tournament in Kitui High School from Friday, April 26 to 28.

Zone V brings together 12 countries and is the largest CAVB region. The countries in the zone include the fast rising neighbours Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya’s long-time rivals Egypt, Tanzania, Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Burundi, South Sudan, Djibouti and Eritrea.
