Agripina Kundu

Last weekend will remain as one of the most memorable for Kenya Pipeline Libero Agripina Kundu whose performance during the National playoffs in Mombasa earned her an employment opportunity with Kenya Pipeline Company.

Agrippina, a former Malava Girls High School player, could not hold back her emotions when the National Volleyball Federation Chairman Waithaka Kioni broke the news to her during the KVF Gala in Mombasa on Sunday night.

Kioni informed the thrilled crowd at the gala that the Kenya Pipeline Director was impressed with Kundu’s performance on the court during the finals and has directed she be employed by the company as a permanent employee.

“I cannot even explain how excited I am today. This is one of the most memorable days of my life first winning the title and now being informed that I have been offered permanent employment by our sponsors. “

She was also named as the best Libero this season receiving her first ever top competition trophy, “This is more for me to chew and I just say a humble thank you to God and those who have seen the potential in my ability to keep on supporting my team.” An emotional Agripina told michezoafrika.com.

Pipeline on Sunday defeated rivals Kenya Prisons to win the national women volleyball title after a 3-0 win at the Makande Hall in Mombasa.
