Found in the heart of Mumias Sugar Company, Mumias Sports Complex played home to the defunct Mumias Sugar Football Club (Disbanded from the Kenya Premier League in 2007). A Club that was once active in the Kenyan Top League (KPL).
The Stadium holds a capacity of 10,000 people and is mainly used for football matches. Apart from hosting premier league matches for Kenyan teams, the Stadium has also hosted regional matches including the CECAFA Cup in 2009 besides serving as training ground for both the National side, Harambee stars and sometimes international sides.
In 2011, Mumias Sugar Company gave AFC Leopards a huge sponsorship that saw the Kenya Premier League Giants use Mumias Sugar Complex together with Nyayo Stadium for their Home Matches.
