Kinoru info

Kinoru Stadium is a reputable sports and culture center in Meru County. It is a 10,000 Capacity-Stadium mostly used for soccer matches and other events within Meru County. It has been used by Tusker FC for the Clubs Home Matches in the Kenya Premier League until its renovation was begun afresh. Tusker FC seeks to find a fan base in Meru County and that is why they picked on Kinoru.

The Stadium has four changing rooms for teams and an extra two for officials. It also has VIP Lounges, a Press Conference Room and a Media Tribune. Renovations of the Stadium begun late in 2016 in preparation for the African Nations Home Championships (CAF) in 2018 and is set to be ready in August 2018 according to the County Government.

The perimeter wall is yet to be worked on efficiently as well. CAF inspectors expressed dissatisfaction with the stadium citing poorly overlaid grass and recommended International Standard Turf. They also recommended the Perimeter Wall to be built. They agreed to inspect the ground again once it was finished to decide whether it is ready for CHAN.

The venue has hosted top flight matches apart from the Kenya premier League (KPL) Matches. The Top 8 finals in 2008 were held here as well as the KPL Under 19 Matches
