The Algerian coach  Djamel Belmadi  has said his team  does not hold any favorites tag as they head into their first match against The Harambee Stars of Kenya on Sunday.

" We respect Kenya , it is a good team playing as a unit and defending very well. We have studied them and we know it is very difficult to score against them. We know all the players and we will take them as a very  strong side."

The coach added that "I don't believe we are the favorites, I believe that we are here to only give our best in the first match, to be competitive."

Talking ahead of the match, Algerian captain Riyadh Mehraz who is a former African footballer of the year said ," I respect their captain Wanyama who plays for a very good team in the Premier League.
