Joseph Waithera and David Kasirye have left  2009 Kenyan champions Sofapaka.

This was confirmed in an official communication posted on the club’s website on Monday, stating, “Sofapaka Football Club can confirm we have parted ways with forwards Joseph Waithera and David Kasiyrie.”

“The two who joined the club from Wazito Football Club and KCCA of Uganda, respectively, have left the club on mutual consent and will no longer be part of the club for the remainder of the season.We want to wish Waithera and Kasiyre the very best in their next endeavors,” the statement concluded.


David Ouma’s charges are currently placed 12th on the log with 11 points from 2 wins, 5 draws and 4 defeats.

They play away to Kakamega Homeboyz in their next fixture on Wednesday 25 January 2023.
