Kisumu and Western Bulls reached the last four without touching a ball after their opponents, Kisii and University of Eldoret withdrew from the competition.
Kabras Sugar and Masinde Muliro did take to the pitch against their opponents and served up heavy defeats as they marched to the last four.
Kabras Sugar were 46-0 winners over Mbale in the top bill clash of a double header played at the Masinde Muliro University in Kakamega. The reigning Kenya Cup and Enterprise Cup champions scored their tries through Paul Abuto (3), Geoffrey Shitambasi, Hillary Odhiambo, Asuman Mugerwa, Victor Were and Dan Ang’wech.
Ntabeni Dukisa added 3 conversions with Ang’wech managing 1 conversion.
Masinde Muliro were too strong for Eldoret, defeating the visitors 51-0 in the day’s opening fixture at Masinde Muliro.
Kabras Sugar will play Kisumu with Masinde Muliro facing Western Bulls in the semifinals set for next weekend.
