The Super Cup Basketball Challenge 2024 Seniors will feature 16 teams, including eight men’s and eight women’s squads.
The much anticipated Super Cup Basketball Challenge Seniors is in full swing, marking its second day at the Nyayo Stadium Gymnasium, Nairobi. The event, running until 13th October 12, 2024, has drawn significant attention not only for the thrilling basketball action but also for its commitment to a noble cause.
This year’s tournament goes beyond competition; it serves as a community driven initiative aimed at raising awareness and support for cancer patients. This meaningful focus is a tribute to the late Job Waka, a visionary leader and passionate advocate for sports who sadly passed away on September 3, 2024.
The Super Cup Basketball Challenge 2024 Seniors will feature 16 teams, including eight men’s and eight women’s squads. Last edition, Ulinzi Snipers beat UON Vikings to clinch the men's title, while Noga overcame Equity Hawks to grab the ladies' title.
Last episode winners carried home Sh100,000 while runners-up grabbed Sh50,000 as third-placed teams got Sh30,000.
“Waka believed in the power of basketball to change lives. This tournament is our way of honoring his memory and continuing his mission,” Chief Operations Officer at Sterling Sports Inc Brian Mboya said.
