Uhuru: Local sport can resume under State COVID19 protocols

Kenyan sport can resume under joint COVID19 regulations from the Ministry of Sports and Ministry of Health.
President Uhuru Kenyatta issued this directive during his address to the nation as the country marked Labor Day on 1 May 2021.
It will be recalled that sporting activities were suspended in a blanket order banning public activities as COVID19 cases rose in the country.
This new directive comes at a time when the country's sports teams were bracing for various international competitions including the Olympics,World U20 athletic championships,Barthes Cup and Safari Rally. Local league competitions were also gaining momentum and have a chance to resume.
