While Uganda begins its preparations, Kenya has yet to announce its squad, leaving fans eager to see how their preparations will take shape
The Uganda U20 national football team, popularly known as the ‘Hippos,’ has officially begun preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations U20 Zonal Qualifiers, scheduled to take place in Tanzania from October 20th.
The 45 players named in the provisional squad by the Federation of Ugandan Football Associations (FUFA) have all reported to the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
They will be working hard to impress Head Coach Matia Lule in hopes of securing a spot on the final squad traveling to Tanzania.
Coach Matia Lule was appointed by FUFA to lead the Hippos, supported by a skilled technical team consisting of:
- Simeon Massa – Assistant Coach
- Steven Billy Kiggundu – Goalkeeping Coach
- Noah Kasule – Fitness Coach
- Bashir Mutyaba – Team Manager
- Michael Gumisiriza – Team Doctor
- Rashid Kebba – Team Doctor
- Frank Bumpenje – Team Kits Manager
- Ronald Lusulire – Team Media Officer
