Tuwei will serve for a period of three years effective 18 November 2022.
The retired Kenya Army General took over the reins of Athletics Kenya in 2015 and currently serves as a Senior Vice President of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA).
According to information on the organization’s official website, the Sports Fund seeks to be the ultimate source of funding for Kenya’s talent in Sports and the Arts, and to support Social Development.
The object and purpose of the Fund is to provide funding to support the development and promotion of sports and arts and the promotion of social development.
It further seeks to build a healthy and prosperous nation by supporting talent and bases its core values on integrity while focusing on talent and equitable Social Development.
