at Gor Mahia, the transfer saga surrounding Harambee Stars U23 captain Ronney Onyango rages on with Tanzanian club Singida Dodoma reported to have sought for a refund after Onyango declined the move
Kenyan Premier League giants Tusker FC have announced that they have parted ways with midfielder Shaphan Siwa after the expiry of his contract. In a social media post, the Brewers stated, “Shaphan has left Tusker after the expiry of his contract. Thank you for everything, Mshazda. All the best in your new station.”
The creative midfielder, who had formed a strong partnership with league top scorer Ryan Ogam, registered 9 assists in 14 matches since the start of this season. He is set to sign with Tanzanian Premier League side Kagera Sugar, joining fellow Kenyan players like John Makwatta, Elvis Rupia and many others in the Tanzanian league.
Meanwhile at Gor Mahia, the transfer saga surrounding Harambee Stars U23 captain Ronney Onyango rages on with Tanzanian club Singida Dodoma reported to have sought for a refund after Onyango declined the move despite an agreement between the two clubs. The clubs had settled on a transfer fee of $40,000 (KES 5.1 million).
As a result of the uncertainty surrounding Onyango’s transfer and his contract expiring in six months, Gor Mahia has opted to retain captain Philemon Otieno and Ernest Wendo, offering them contract extensions until the end of the season after their previous contracts expired in December.
