TUNISIA: Africa's best line up in quest for volleyball crown

The 27th edition of the Africa women club championships will serve off on Thursday in Monastir, Tunisia   with over  ten clubs drawn from different regions of Africa expected to fight for the top crown .

Kenya will be represented by seven times champions Kenya Pipeline and five times champions Kenya Prisons who have all landed in Tunisia ahead of the start of competition.

Defending champions Al Ahly of Egypt, organizers Carthage of Tunisia, Shams from Egypt, ARSU from Seychelles, University of Zimbabwe, Asec Mimosas of Ivory Coast are among the teams that have already landed in Tunisia for the African showpiece.

Egyptian side Al Ahly remains the most successful club in the championship history with 8 titles winning it in 2016 to break that long time record held by Kenya Pipelines, despite that Kenya still remain top with winners by country stats with 13th titles.
