Newly promoted side Trinity Starlets have continued their superb form in the Kenya Women Premier League, defeating WADADI FC 2 – 0 in Nakuru last weekend.

Trinity who are in their first ever season in top flight got the victory through goals from Jackline Chesang’ and Euphrasia Isichi. This win puts them at the top of the table with three wins in three games and a perfect defensive record having not conceded a goal so far this season. Notably, Chesang’ leads the top scorer chart with four goals and remains the only player to score in every game this season.

In Nairobi, defending champions Police Bullets saw their winning streak halted after they were held to a goalless draw by Ulinzi Starlets in the Servicemen derby. Despite dominating the match, Police failed to capitalize their chances while Ulinzi came to the match with one slogan, ‘Tuko away, hatuhitaji possession’, clearing the ball at every opportunity.

At the Bungoma National Polytechnic, Bungoma Queens earned their first win of the season by thrashing Kisumu All Starlets 5 – 1, with two goals each from Carolyn Khaemba and Catherine Khaemba alongside a goal from Timona Zareti. Monica Etot scored a consolation goal for the Lakeside ladies.

In Kisumu, Vihiga Queens handed Mombasa Olympic their first defeat of the season with a 3 – 0 victory. Diana Cherono scored a brace while Claudia Ukiru scored one goal.
