Congolese women team TP Mazembe claimed their first ever CAF Women’s Champions League title after defeating defending champions AS FAR from Morocco 1 – 0 in a thrilling match at Stade El Abdi in Morocco last weekend.
The match was decided in the early minutes , with TP Mazembe taking the lead in the 10th minute after Marlene Kasaj converted a penalty. The Congolese side maintained their impressive style of play, dominating possession over their opponents as a tactic to defend throughout the game. AS FAR had few chances to equalize as they struggled to get a foothold in the match.
