The wait continues as Kenyan teams are eliminated in Cairo

Kenya’s representatives at this year’s Africa Volleyball club championships Kenya Prisons and Kenya Pipeline will face off in the third place playoffs at the ongoing championship in Cairo Egypt.

The two teams lost their respective semi final matches on Tuesday evening thus extending the long wait towards reclaiming Africa volleyball glory they lost in 2013.

Defending champions, Carthage of Tunisia beat Prisons 3-1 (25-15, 22-25, 25-23, 25-21) in the first semi-final while Al Ahly had to rally from a set down to beat seven time champions Kenya Pipeline 3-1 (22-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-8).

Defending champions, Carthage of Tunisia and host Ahly of Egypt will battle for the honour of the 2018 African women’s club championship on Thursday in what is expected to be an epic finale.
