Becoming a Sports professional is never an overnight feat, it follows a slow process that includes robust training, passion, hard work and availability of opportunities to compete frequently. This is just what the Safaricom junior Golf tournament is offering young golfers who harbor the dream of becoming future Stars.

Launched early this year, the 14-leg amateur series dubbed the Safaricom Golf Tour aims to tap, nurture and grow talent among young golfers across the country and is open to all juniors aged 21 years & under.

Held in conjunction with the Junior Golf Foundation (JGF), the Junior Golf series targets to reach out to over 3000 young golfers by the end of the tour with three of the events on the calendar expected to run as part of the US Kids Golf Local Tour.

During the 6th leg of the tour at the Eldoret Golf Club last weekend, over 100 juniors turned out to take part in both the tournament and open clinics with a hope of spurring their dreams.
