Telkom beat Ghana Revenue to qualify for Africa Finals

Two goals in the first half  from international striker Jacqueline Jow and captain  Betsy Omalla were enough to send the seven time Africa  champions Telkom Orange to the Africa Club Championship finals  set for Saturday against Police of Ghana.

Jow sounded the boards barely four Minutes into play  before Omalla added another in the 16th minute to overpower Ghana Authority Revenue (GRA) ladies team in one of the semi finals played at the Development Olympic Stadium on Thursday as the Africa Cup of Club Championship entered the sixth day in Lusaka Zambia.

Other semi finals saw Ghana Police wallop Sharkia of Egypt 6-1.

Martha Sarfoa scored a hat trick in the 2nd , 15 and 34 th minutes respectively, as Faustina Aggrey, Linda Sasu and Nafisatu Umaru scored each one goal in the 13th 15th and 47th minutes to give the Eric Obaya led side the win.

Sharkia consolation goals was scored by   Mariam Ahmed in the 50th minute.

There will be no love lost as the two teams Telkom Orange and Ghana Police face off in the finals.

The two teams met in the first match of the  week long event when they played to a 3 all draw in group stages.

Openda's charges will put their title hunt a record  eighth when they tackle first improving west Africans who have shown immense growth.

GRA will now play Sharkia in fight for a bronze medal.
