Telkom, Strathmore out for second wins
Kenya women representatives at the ongoing Africa Hockey championships in Kampala Uganda will be in action on Wednesday with defending champions Telkom Orange taking on Twende from Tanzania while Strathmore Scorpions will be up against Ghanaian side Revenue Authority.
Both teams, Telkom and Strathmore won their opening matches 7-0 and 11-0 against Waterhead and Kampala Ladies respectively.
Strathmore coach Meshack Senge said, “The girls played well in the first match remaining tactically disciplined throughout the playing period and I look forward to a better performance because the first win gave them more confidence and self belief.”
Kenya’s men representatives Keya Police lost to Egypt 4-1 on Tuesday while Nairobi Simba posted a convincing 3-1 win over Wananchi.
