Strathmore to go in full force against Simba
Former champions Strathmore University will not relax when they play reigning champions Nairobi Simba on Sunday evening in an anticipated hockey men premier league match at the City Park Stadium.
Despite coming to the match having beaten the champions on the last two league meets, Strathmore team captain Hosea Walucho says they will play cautiously and with the determination to win.
The 2010 champions played to a 4-2 loss to the national team on Thursday in a match the captain described as a big learning occasion for his team mates.
“We were trying new formations which didn't go well for the day. We on the other hand had learning moments from the match. It’s definitely going to be a big match on Sunday and we are looking forward to it.” he said.
“We have defeated them on the last couple of seasons but that however will not result to relaxation .We need to get our season in order as early as possible.” He weighed in.
