Shujaa to Train in France Ahead of Paris 2024 Olympics

Kenya is in Pool B in Paris, where they will face 2024 SVNS league winners Argentina, Australia, and Samoa.

Kenya’s sevens rugby team, the Shujaa, will shift their training base to France as they gear up for the upcoming Paris Olympics set for 24-30 July.

The team is expected to camp in Miramas City, Southern France, for an intensified training camp as head coach Kevin Wambua prepares for a possible historic performance at this year’s Olympic Games.

Kenya is in Pool B in Paris, where they will face 2024 SVNS league winners Argentina, Australia, and Samoa. 

Host nation France is drawn in Pool C, which also features two-time Olympic champions Fiji, the USA, and debutants Uruguay. Pool A includes New Zealand, Ireland, Japan, and South Africa.

The Kenyan team is led by head coach Kevin Wambua, with Andrew Amonde as the conditioning coach, Lamech Bogonko as the physio, and Steven Sewe as the team manager.
