Shujaa humble South Africa in Hamilton

Kenya 7's rugby team humble South Africa 36-14 at the Hamilton Sevens

Kenya’s rugby sevens team, The Shujaas, on Sunday morning put up a super performance dismissing South Africa 36-14 in their final group match at the Hamilton Sevens, finishing second behind England .

Kenya got off the good start in this match with a Willy Ambaka try in the 4th minute before Geoffrey Okwach added a second and Injera Collins a third for a comfortable cushion. Kenya led 19-07 at halftime.

Despite an attempted recharge by South Africa, Kenya sustained their discipline to win the encounter with other tries from Jeff Oluoch, Alvin Otienoand Vincent Onyala.

Shujaa got off to an unlucky start in Hamilton having lost to England 24-19 before drawing against Japan 12-12.

Shujaa will next play Argentina in the 7th place playoffs later on Sunday.
