Harambee Stars U20 forwards Austin Odongo and Ezekiel Omuri combined to score the match-winning goal in the 84th minute, leading Shabana to a 2-1 victory over Tusker FC at Gusii Stadium.

Tusker, missing their league top scorer Ryan Ogam (who is in Zanzibar with the national team) and top assister Stephan Siwa (who has left the club), took the lead in the 11th minute. Captain Charles Momanyi rose high to head in a free kick from Thomas Teka.

Tusker had two more opportunities to double their lead before halftime, but Naaman Balecho’s attempt went wide, while James Njuguna’s effort was saved by Shabana goalkeeper. Just before the break, Shabana leveled the score when Dennis Okoth’s shot found the back of the net.

In the 84th minute, Austin Odongo delivered a perfect cross into the box for Ezekiel Omuri, who scored a stunning header to give Shabana the lead. The win moves Shabana up to fifth place with 23 points, just four points behind Tusker and KCB, who are tied at the top of the table.
