Salah has tweeted thanking his fans for support as he assured them that he will take part in the World Cup Finals in Russia
The Liverpool FC lot together with their sympathizers will want to quickly forget the UEFA Championships league night that pitted them against the now 13-time winners, Real Madrid.
However, the world will not forget the way a hero in the name of Mohammed Salah was brought down by Sergio Ramos in a controversial undertaking. The Liverpool star went down at the half-hour mark that literally marked the end to his Champion League for the night and for the season during his side's 3-1 defeat to the Los Blancos.
There were fears that the Egyptian marksman may miss the World Cup in Russia, with Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp adding to the fears by addressing reporters immediately after the Saturday game. Salah suffered a shoulder injury.
However, the premier league golden boot winner has spoken for the first time since the match exuding confidence that he will be ready to turn up for the Egypt National Team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
In a tweet captured on his account, Salah thanked his supporters saying that he will fight against odds not to let them down but to be on the Egyptian line up as they begin the World Cup campaign.
"It was a very tough night, but I'm a fighter. Despite the odds, I'm confident that I'll be in Russia to make you all proud. Your love and support will give me the strength I need."
Earlier on the Egyptian Football Association had tweeted stating that information received from Liverpool's medical team suggested Salah would recover in time
Salah has since been included in the Egyptian 23-man squad set for the World Tourney
