Record clubs to take part in 2018 CAVB Club Championships

A record 21 teams have confirmed their participation in this year’s edition of CAVB Africa women volleyball club championships to be held in Egypt.

The 2018 competition will be hosted at Ahly Hall between March 6 to 15.

The African Volleyball Confederation early this week confirmed February 10th as deadline for teams to confirm their participation.

Kenya will be represented at the competition by champions Kenya Pipeline who have seven African titles and five time champions Kenya Prisons. Al Ahly are the current record holders with 8 titles

Other teams that have confirmed participation include defending champions Carthage of Tunisia, their compatriots Marsa, 2017 silver medallists Shams Club (EGY), Alexandria Sporting (EGY), DGSP (CGO), Asec Mimosas (CIV), Vision VB, Nkumba University (UGA), BDF (BOT), AS Douanes (BUR), Muzinga (BDI), Canon de Ndjii, VB Club (COD), Injis, FAP, Bafia and Nyong et Kelle (CMR).
