Prisons, Pipeline to face Cameroonian opposition in Cairo

Kenya’s representatives at this year’s African Women’s Volleyball Club Championship in Cairo, Egypt will face Cameroonian opposition as each fights to earn the title that has evaded Kenya over the last four years.

Prisons who finished third during the last edition in Tunisia headline Pool D and have been pooled alongside Cameroun’s Injs, Customs from Nigeria, Douanes from Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast’s Asec Mimosa.

Seven-time champions Kenya Pipeline have been thrown into Pool C and will square it out with hosts El Sham, Cameroun’s FAP, DGSP from Congo and Uganda’s Vision Club.

Both teams will be in action on day one of the championship with Prisons taking on Asec Mimoas while Pipeline will start off their campaign against hosts El Shams.

Pool A: Al Ahly (Egypt), Nkumba University (Uganda), Nyong (Cameroun), Rwanda Revenue Authority (Rwanda)

Pool B: Carthage (Tunisia), Harare City (Zimbabwe), Chlef (Algeria), Bafia (Cameroun), Botswana Defense Forces (Botswana)

Pool C: El Shams (Egypt), Kenya Pipeline (Kenya), FAP (Cameroun), DGSP (Congo), Vision Club (Uganda).

Pool D: Kenya Prisons (Kenya), Injs (Cameroun), Customs (Nigeria), Douanes (Burkina Faso), Asec Mimosa (Ivory Coast).
