Posta humiliate Policemen at home as AFC fall to KCB

In other matches played on Friday, KCB opened the season on a positive note after humbling AFC Leopards 1-0 at Kasarani Stadium.

Posta Rangers thrashed Kenya Police 3-0 at the Police Pavilion grounds in South C as the 2023-2024 Football Kenya Federation Premier League entered round two on Friday.

Goals from Curtis Wekesa, Jackson Macharia and Brian Otieno inspired Rangers to the win that saw the club extend its unbeaten start as well condemned Police to their first defeat.

Rangers played Bidco to a barren draw in the opening game of the campaign while Police registered a similar scoreline against Kariobangi Sharks.

Given the quality and the fact that they were playing at home, Police were expected to make light work of Rangers but that was not the case.

In other matches played on Friday, KCB opened the season on a positive note after humbling AFC Leopards 1-0 at Kasarani Stadium.

Derrick Otanga scored the all-important goal in the second half to hand his team the first win of the season.

Leopards finished with ten men after Musa Oundo was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Ingwe were looking to register their first win of the season after playing FC Talanta to a barren draw in round one.

Bandari also recorded a similar scoreline at the Kasarani Annex, beating the 2009 league winners Sofapaka.

 



Ugandan forward Umaru Kasumba was on target for the dockers who will be happy to return to winning ways after losing 1-0 to Tusker in the past round.

Shabana scored deep into stoppage time to salvage a point against FC Talanta at Nyayo Stadium.

Justine Omwando struck late to cancel Kevinton Machika's goal.
