Police end Butali’s unbeaten form
Kenya Police on Sunday defeated national hockey champions Butali Warriors ending their unbeaten run this season with a 2-1 win at the City Park.
Despite the loss to Police, Butali still lead the table standings with 15 points having played more matches than Police who have 12 points from 4 matches.
After a goal less first period, Zack Aura connected home from close range as Butali took the lead in the 37th minute.
Police would however rally from behind to take command scoring in the 42nd and 61st minutes through Felix Okoth and Moses Cheplaiti.
In other matches splayed on Sunday at the same venue, Parkroad beat Wazalendo 2-1 with Brian Mwangi (13th) and Andrew Kamau (41st) on the score sheets for Park road while Davies Wekesa scored for Waza.
In Mombasa, Green Sharks sneaked a point from Mombasa Sports club following a barren draw with their hosts.
