Police Drop Points as Trinity Queens Rally To Hold Ulinzi

With five minutes remaining in the second half,  Trinity managed to level the score to 2 – 2, thanks to Chesang’ resilience as she pressured the Ulinzi goalkeeper who then passed to her to score

Jacklyne Chesang' was again on the score sheet as Trinity Queens cake from behind to hold Ulinzi Starlets 2 -2 in a Women’s Premier League match played at Ruaraka grounds on Sunday. 

Ulinzi were the first to break the deadlock in the 30th minute with a magnificent solo goal from Fasila Adhiambo , with the teams heading to the break with Ulinzi leading 1 – 0.

The second half saw Ulinzi double the lead seconds after restart after Diana Shakava headed in a cross. However, Trinity kept their composure and continued to press for an equalizer, which finally came in the 75th minute when Lenah Nasimiyu tapped the ball home after the ball hit the goalpost from a free kick to pull one back, making it 2 – 1.

In other league encounters, Bunyore Starlets secured a hard earned point after throwing away a lead to draw to draw 3 – 3 with Kisped Queens. Afandi Sheila, Faith Eden and Philister Omolo scored for Bunyore while Linda Okoside netted a brace for the lakeside girls alongside a Lilian Adera goal.

At the Mpesa Foundation, Police Bullets FC dropped points for the third time in four matches as they were held to a goalless draw by Mombasa Olympic.
