Kenya Women Premier League reigning champions, Kenya Police Bullets, saw their unbeaten streak of 23 matches since the start of last season come to an end after they bottled a two-goal lead and lost 4 - 3 to Zetech Sparks FC at Dandora Stadium on November 10, 2024. Their first loss in history of the club that started last season.
Bullets had an early chance to take the lead in the first minute but Lydia Akoth’s shot hit the crossbar. Ten minutes later, they came close again but Zetech Keeper, Vivian Chiteri denied Mercy Njeri. However, Bullets finally broke the deadlock in the 19th minute when Nelly Sawe found the back of the net, with the first half ending 1 – 0 in favor of Bullets.
Early in the second half, Zetech nearly pulled one back but Annedy Kundu was firm and made a crucial save. In the 52nd minute, Rebbeca Okwaro doubled Bullets’ lead before Zetech reduced the deficit moments later. In the 59th minute, substitute Emily Moranga once again gave Bullets a 2 – 0 lead with the scoreline being 3 – 1.
