Pipeline keen to end 12 year continental trophy drought

Kenya volleyball Queens Kenya Pipeline head coach Japheth Munala has expressed his team's desire to reclaim the elusive  continental crown that has evaded their cabinets for twelve years now.

The seven times Africa Champions Kenya Pipeline last won the crown in  2005 and lost in the semi finals to Carthage of Tunisia last year.

Powered by experienced stars including Kenyan internationals Janet Wanja, Esther Wangeci, Trizah Atuka, Noel Murambii , Moncah Biama among others; The team  is currently putting final touches in their preparations ahead of the continental showdown to start in Tunisia next week.

Kenya will be represented at the competition by domestic Champions Kenya Pipeline and former Africa Champions Kenya Prisons.

Speaking to michezoafrika.com at their training base in Nairobi coach Japheth Munala says , " We have put in our best now we hope to maintain the momentum going into the competition next week."

" It has been very painful to always come close all these years and IO am really anxious to break that jinx this year by comin g back with the crown." He added .

"So far we have  done our best and the players are giving their all in training. We have pushed them well and we are confident they will deliver  that elusive title."  Munala says.
