Pipeline head to Tunisia in pursuit of 8th African title

National women volleyball champions Kenya Pipeline flew out of the country on Monday night for Tunisia in their pursuit for an eight African title that has eluded them for the past twelve years.

A strong  squad that blends experience with  fast rising talents departed JKIA  shortly before 1:00 AM on Tuesday morning  for Tunis ahead of the start of the Africa Women club championships scheduled to serve off on Thursday.Kenya will be represented at the competition by domestic Champions Kenya Pipeline and former Africa Champions Kenya Prisons who are expected to fly out on Tuesday night.

Speaking to michezoafrika.com shortly before departure, Kenya Pipeline captain Trizah Atuka noted that , " For sure we are headed out to deliver our best. We have pushed ourselves to good limits in training as we prepared for this championships and we depart with maximum confidence that we will  put up a strong performance to bring home victory."

Pipeline finished in Bronze position last year  having crashed out of the competition in the semi finals.
