Others graduating at the passout parade presided by President William Ruto included Commonwealth 5000m champion Beatrice Chebet and volleyballer Carolyne Sirengo.

Africa’s fastest man, Ferdinand Omanyala, was among several sports personalities graduating from the National Police Service campus in Kiganjo on Tuesday 10 January 2023.

Others graduating at the passout parade presided by President William Ruto included Commonwealth 5000m champion Beatrice Chebet and volleyballer Carolyne Sirengo.

More sportpersons are expected to graduate on Wednesday 11 January 2023 when President Ruto presides over a second graduation at the Administration Police Training College A Campus including rugby players Collins Shikoli, Levi Amunga, Jeff Oluoch, Grace Adhiambo and Christabel Lindo.


Others will graduate from the General Service Unit Police College B Campus in Embakasi on Thursday.

Omanyala won the 100m title at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Kenya’s first title over the distance since Seraphino Antao won it in 1962.
