Benson Omala scored the lone goal for Gor Mahia in the first half ending his seven-game goal drought that had seen his advantage in the top scores sheet reduced to a goal.

Defending champions Gor Mahia have bounced back to winning ways after narrowly beating Nairobi City Stars 1-0 at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Prior to the game, Gor had gone for two matches without a win, inviting pressure at the summit but the record champions can breathe with ease after beating their closest challenger.

Benson Omala scored the lone goal for Gor Mahia in the first half ending his seven-game goal drought that had seen his advantage in the top scores sheet reduced to a goal.

The goal is certainly a source of motivation for the crestfallen Omala who suffered heartbreak after missing a lucrative deal to Algerian side JS Saoura a week ago.

Bandari dragged themselves into the title talks again after licking Nzoia Sugar twice at Sudi Stadium, a place they suffered their Mozzart Bet Cup loss three weeks ago to Bungoma Stars.

Hassan Abdallah gave Bandari the lead but Nzoia had David Simiyu to thank for restoring parity after striking from the spot.

Francis Kahiro got the match winner for Bandari late in the second half, taking his tally to eight goals in the season and his second while in Bandari colours.

Kahiro who joined Bandari from KCB would have bagged a brace but missed to score from the spot.

League debutants Murang'a Seal halted their eleven-game winless streak after edging Bidco United 1-0 at the St. Sebastian Park.

The result saw the newcomers bag their first win under coach Abdallah Juma who succeeded Dennis Okoth last month.

Centre back Robert Mudenyu scored the all-important goal for Seal in the seventh minute of the game.

There was a similar scoreline at the Police Sacco Stadium where Posta Rangers beat Ulinzi Stars in a lunch hour kick off game.

Felix Oluoch struck from the spot to hand the mailmen maximum points at the expense of the soldiers who have been hurt by inconsistencies this season.

Kenya Police recorded a similar result at the same venue edging the relegation threatened Shabana.

David Okoth Odhiambo scored the match winner in the first half.
