Old boys returned to haunt and dealt Gor Mahia the first defeat in the 2023-2024 Football Kenya Federation Premier League as the record champions fell 3-1 to Kenya Police on Saturday.
Gor were looking to disarm Police and extend their unbeaten run in the season but that wasn't to happen as Police rallied from behind to spoil the party.
Prior to the game, Gor were unbeaten in nineteen roundsrounds, winning twelve and sharing points seven points, a run that kept them at the summit with a ten-point cushion.

Gor had previously demonstrated their ability to hold a 1-0 lead heading into half time but Police proved too hot to handle in the second half, wiping the goal and adding two to take home three points.
