Njoroge triumphs at Railway Club as Savannah Tour continues

Speaking at the close of the day’s action, Njoroge said, “I had a great game today motivated by a strong field.  The Savannah Tour is really doing us good and giving us very good preparations for major tournaments.”

Samuel Njoroge emerged victorious at the sixth leg of the Savannah Golf Tour at the Railway Golf Club in the heart of Nairobi on Wednesday 4 May 2022.

Njoroge’s first nine was bogey free, highlighted by five birdies. He then sunk another four birdies on the second nine in between two bogeys to eventually claim first place and the Ksh 64,000 prize money.

The veteran Dismus Indiza from Kakamega Sports Club finished second, carding two birdies and a bogey on the front nine and four birdies on the back nine to take home Kshs. 46,000.

The Savannah Tour is a weekly 18-hole competition that draws its prize money largely from the players Kshs 5,000 entry fees.
