Nigeria made an impressive start to their FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup campaign with a dominant 4-1 victory over New Zealand on Wednesday, as the tournament began in the Dominican Republic. The Nigerian team showcased their superior skills and took control of Group A with three points.
Nigeria's goals came from Shakirat Moshood, Khadijat Adegoke, Farihat Abdulwahab, and Taiwo Afolabi, who was later named Player of the Match for her outstanding performance.Hannah Saxon pulled a goal back for Newzealand in the 60th minute but it did little to dampen the Junior Flacons' soaring Star.
