Neddy strikes four as Starlets hammer South Sudan

A Neddy Atieno masterclass guided Harambee Starlets to an 8-0 win over South Sudan in AWCON first leg qualifying action at the Nyayo National Stadium on Wednesday 20 October 2021. 

The Ulinzi Starlets sharpshooter scored four goals, in the 2nd, 4th, 34th and 60th minutes with Jentrix Shikangwa (39th minute and 72nd minute) and Mwanahalima Adam (56th and 62nd minute) bagging a brace each as Charles Okere's charges made a huge step towards advancing to the second round of qualification where Uganda or Ethiopia lay in wait with the aggregate winner of that clash qualifying for the continental showpiece in Morocco in 2022.

The return clash against South Sudan will be played at Nyayo on Saturday 23 October 2021.
