Nairobi Water off to Morocco

National handball champions Nairobi Water left the country yesterday for the 35th edition of the Africa Club Championships in Marrekach, Morocco.

The championship is scheduled for between 2 and 13 of October Club captain Gladys Chilo has expressed optimism that the team will do well in the championships where they will meet the best in the continent.

“It will be a great honor for us playing against the continent’s best. I am very happy with the way the team has grown so far. Morale in the team is very high.”

Team’s head coach Jack Sandan said they are going for top in a competition and they expect stiff challenge from their opponents.

“We have had nice times to prepare well for the competition and we are hoping for the best. He said
