Brenda Musambai and Brenda Ariviza scored 9 and 8 goals respectively with Michele Oyoo adding 6 goals for Nairobi Water

League leaders Nairobi Water stayed top with a comprehensive 54-9 whitewash of Rising Star as the Kenya Handball Federation women’s league continued on Sunday at the Kaloleni Grounds.

Brenda Musambai and Brenda Ariviza scored 9 and 8 goals respectively with Michele Oyoo adding 6 goals for Nairobi Water who led the Dagoretti based side 25-5 at half time. Zabida Atieno contributed 6 of Rising Stars goals.

Second placed National Cereals Produce Board were equally rampant in their 53-15 win against Daystar Falcons . Sherly Atieno Scored 10, Sara Mabonga 9 while Diana Akinyi and Addah Musumbi added 6 and 5 goals respectively for NCPB. 

Lilian Kyende (5) while Medline Akoth (4) top scored for Daystar University who remained winless after losing 27-37 to JKUAT.. The Win places NCPB Women’s team second on the log with 20 points from 12 matches, Ulinzi Sharks who did not have fixture this weekend are also on 20 point from 11 matches but inferior goal difference.

Other matches played at the same venue saw Kenyatta University Women defeat Rising Star 42-17 while Nairobi City County Defeated New Hope 29-21

The only men’s fixtures saw Kenyatta University hang on for the  28-21 result over JKUAT 28-21 in a close contest that was 13-12 at half time
