In other encounters, League leaders Fortune Sacco extended their lead with a hard fought 1 – 0 victory over SS Assad. Fortune secured the win through a late goal from Mugane Elias.

Nairobi United halted APS Bomet’s impressive run  in the FKF National Super League with a 1 – 0 victory on Sunday November 17th,2024, at the Dandora Stadium. The win propels Nairobi to second place in the standings with 19 points, while APS Bomet drop to third.

Nairobi got the win courtesy of a Dancan Omalla goal in the 29th minute to cap off their third consecutive win this season. Notably, Omalla has now scored four goals in eight games.

Nairobi United coach Edwin Mwaura reflected on the win, stating, “We are still not yet where we want to be despite the narrow win. There is still a lot of work to be done. It was a good game. They played well too but it was our day.”

“Focus now shifts to our next game against Fortune Sacco. It will be another tough encounter but our focus will be picking a positive result.” he added.

At Vapor grounds, Ian Simiyu scored the only goal of the match that saw bottom table Nzoia Sugar defeat Samwest Blackboots.

In Kajiado, Ian Motanda scored a brace as Darajani Gogo triumphed 2 – 1 over Vihuga United, while Muhoroni Youth came from behind to beat MOFA 2 – 1 in Homabay.
