Nairobi City Stars Part Ways with Coach Nicholas Muyoti

Muyoti’s resignation follows a string of poor performances, with his team securing only two wins in their last nine matches.

Nairobi City Stars head coach Nicholas Muyoti submitted his resignation letter after his team suffered a 2-1 defeat to Posta Rangers on Saturday at Machakos Stadium.

In a statement shortly after the match, Nairobi City Stars announced, “Nairobi City Stars wishes to announce that, following a formal request, Nicholas Muyoti has stepped down from his role as head coach. It has been a good journey, and it’s sad to see you leave. All the best, gaffer.”

The match saw a dramatic finish as Posta Rangers completed a comeback with a last-minute goal from Oliver Maloba. City Stars had taken the lead in the 5th minute through a penalty converted by Vincent Owino, but Levis Shivachi equalized for the home team.

 

Muyoti’s resignation follows a string of poor performances, with his team securing only two wins in their last nine matches. He leaves the club sitting 15th in the league with 16 points from 16 games.
