Former club secretary, director of rugby and Seconds coach Jason Rosario Braganza was elected the chairperson

Mwamba Rugby Club on 24 November elected new office bearers during their Annual General Meeting held at the United Kenya Club. 

Former club secretary, director of rugby and Seconds coach Jason Rosario Braganza was elected the chairperson taking over from the George Mbaye. Fan mobiliser and ardent supporter Gilbert Nyangor has taken over as the honorary secretary and former player Meshack Miyogo is the honorary treasurer. 

Mbaye now moves up to the honorary president seat. The new committee will have the privilege of nominating at least one co-opted member into a leadership role. 

 


Jason, a tax and governance expert, has vast experience in administration, business development and club leadership. He has  previously served as honorary secretary under the outgoing chairman. He has also served on the technical bench under the former coach Meli Tuni Wainibuli. He brings to the Executive Committee a wealth of experience both from private practice and club management. 

Nyangor, fondly referred to as Gilbey, is an accomplished administrator and currently works at the French Embassy office in Nairobi. He has been a vocal fans mobiliser and has been involved various fundraising activities at the club. 

Miyogo, a long serving clubman,  is currently a director at the CIC Insurance and has also been involved in fundraising and sponsorship initiatives at  the club. He has played for the club for almost a decade before focusing on private practice.
