MultiMedia handball harvest maximum points in KUSA league
MultiMedia University men's handball team collected six points over the weekend during the Nairobi conference of Kenya Universities Sports Association league held at Kenyatta University.
MMU started their weekend campaign with a desrved 28-16 win against Co-operative University College .In their second duel, MMU thumbed KU- Ruiru campus 28-21 to bag maximum points.
In other fixtures, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology narrowly edged out Limuru-based St. Paul's University 22-20, as former Kenya Handball Federation national league champions Technical University of Kenya beat hosts KU 27-25.
In the absence of the their head coach Peter Mwathi- who has been away with the men's national team in Cairo, Egypt- assistant coach Allan Mate guided Strathmore to a slim 25-24 win over Mount Kenya University (Thika Campus).
Africa Nazarene University failed to honor their fixtures thus gifting Machakos University College and Co-op UC three un labored for points.
In the women's competition, KU and TUK registered convincing wins. Hosts KU hammered Machakos UC 27-06 whereas TUK clubbed KU- Ruiru campus 22-08. Machakos UC was in the receiving end once again in the women's last clash of the weekend, against St. Paul's University who cruised to a 22-15 victory.
