Missing KCB keeper found alive

Missing KCB keeper found alive
Brian Olang'o

The family of Brian Opiyo Olang'o and the KCB Football Club fraternity can afford a sigh of relief after the goalkeeper was traced alive on Monday evening.

Opiyo was reported missing on Monday morning after efforts to reach him on his cellphone in which he used to sent a distress message to his spouse proved futile.

The goalkeeper had last been seen on Saturday evening and couldn't be reached prompting the family to report his disappearance at Makongeni Police Station.

What caused unease for the family was the fact that the phone could sent random messages and WhatsApp status but could go unanswered or get switched off whenever one attempted to call.

Luckily, Opiyo had notified his spouse that he was in danger before his abductors confiscated the cellphone.

According to Opiyo's elder brother Kevin Olang'o, the custodian was abducted at around Taj Mall area by unknown three male individuals.

One of the abductors was on Nigerian descent with the rest being assumed Kenyans by virtue of their understanding of Kiswahili language.

Olang'o revealed that the abductors who tortured Opiyo, causing bodily harm dumped him at Ngong forest perhaps after suspecting that they were being trailed.

"The family of our keeper Brian Olang'o has confirmed that the player was found safe. We thank everybody for their concern," said KCB through their social media handles.

He said the shot stopper suffered injuries on the head, thigh and shoulder and is awaiting results on the other tests conducted to ascertain whether he picked up internal injuries.

He however struggled just like anyone else to understand the motive of the abductors whom the family believe were probably acting on instructions from someone else.
