Michezo Afrika Academy seeks to support the development of young upcoming talents by nurturing  their talents and skills at an early age .

Speaking to the News Desk, Walter Machio , Director at Michezo Afrika, noted  that with the long December holidays approaching, parents will be tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that their children engage in beneficial activities rather than them being hooked on digital gadgets, while at home.

“It is important for us parents to strike a balance during this long holiday break. There are two months between the end of this academic year and the next which starts on Jan 26th. I encourage parents to explore new opportunities to engage their children that might help them discover and nurture talents that might be beneficial in their lives in the future. Michezo Camp is one such opportunity.

Machio further noted that talent development has always been an integral part of Michezo Afrika's objectives since its inception.

According to the Academy Program coordinator Gentrix Wanyonyi, many parents have already expressed their interest in registering their children  in what promises to be an exciting opportunity to explore their potentials.

Soccer and Lawn Tennis

“We plan to start with Soccer and Lawn tennis beginning on the 19th of November all through to 17th of December. Our Camp is in a conducive and safe environment for children and parents or guardians who might want to accompany them.” She said.

Upon enrolment, the kids will receive a complete set of uniforms- shirt, shorts, and pair of stockings- and will undergo training from 9am through to 12pm from Tuesday to Saturday. In addition, they will receive value-based and life-skill training.

As value addition for experiential purposes, organizers have  announced that there shall be periodical residential camps, organized tours, and participation in tournaments to give the budding stars opportunities to interact and compete more.

Plans are also at an advanced stage to collaborate with various institutions including federations and academic universities for possible scholarship programs for talented and bright children from the academy.
