Harambee Stars striker Micheal Ogada Olunga will be sidelined for the second game in a row when his side Girona FC hosts Real Betic at the Estadi Municipal de Montilivi on Friday 13th, 10pm Kenyan time.
Olunga sustained a discomfort in the hip that has kept him out for the last two games against Levante and Real Sociedad.
He will be sidelined along side Spanish midfielder Carles Planas for the game against Real Betis.
"Planas and Olunga are ruled out. We thought we could have Olunga but after closely watching his fitness report yesterday, we realized that he had not completely healed but for the next week action he will be with us," Girona FC Coach Pablo Machin told a pre-match conference.
Olunga's last action for Girona was on 18th March against Real Madrid where he got three minutes of play time. He then went on for a break with Harambee Stars where he set up a a goal and scored one against Central African Republic.
He has played in ten Spanish La Liga matches, three as a starter and seven as a substitute. So far Olunga has scored three La Liga goals translating to a goal per 105 minutes of action.
After a decent run in the La Liga, Girona FC seem to have run out of steam as they have collected only one point in their last three games. They are placed 8th in the 20-team Spanish League table. Barcelona is perched at the top.
