Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy has revealed his provisional squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Gabon and Gambia.
Among the new inclusions, young prospects Kelly Madada and Andreas Odhiambo have earned their place, while William Lenkupae, a midfielder based in Australia, receives his first national team call-up.
Kenya Police forward Alvin Mang’eni makes a return after a long speel without a call up, same to Saudi based Masoud Juma.
Reflecting on the squad, Coach McCarthy said, “This Wednesday will be my first camp with locally-based players, where I’ll assess their readiness for the upcoming CHAN and identify potential players for the World Cup qualifiers against Gambia and Gabon.”
The team will begin their qualifiers with an away match against Gambia on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Stade Allasane Ouattara in Ivory Coast. After the Gambia clash, the squad will return home to face Gabon on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, with the match set to kick off at 4 PM.
