They were however caught cold when Cavin Odongo scored in the 39th to give Posta a 1-0 lead heading into the breather.
The mailmen had the chance to double the lead moments later only to be denied by Mathare shotstopper Brian Olang’o.
Mathare showed up in the second half, stating their intent and eventually getting just reward in the 65th minute when Chris Opondo found the back of the net to secure the precious point.
